Free Flyer Design Templates
The Easiest Way to Get Your Flyer Right.
Templates Take the Stress Out of Design
You have an event to plan, guests to coordinate, and a venue to organize. The last thing you need is a flyer file getting rejected because the dimensions were off by a fraction of an inch. Our free flyer templates handle all the technical setup so you can focus on making your flyer look great.
Every template comes with the correct document size, 0.125-inch bleed on all sides, and clearly marked safety margins. Open the template in your design software, add your event details and images, and export. That is it. Your file is ready to print and will pass our prepress check the first time.
Whether you are designing a flyer for a church fundraiser, a school event, a grand opening, or a community gathering, starting with the right template means one less thing to worry about.
Templates for Every Flyer Size
We offer free templates for all standard flyer sizes:
4.25 x 5.5 inches — a compact half-page flyer. Great for table tents, handouts at checkout counters, and small-scale promotions. 5.5 x 8.5 inches — the most popular event flyer size. Fits easily in hand, mails in a standard envelope, and displays well on bulletin boards. 8.5 x 11 inches — full-page flyers with maximum space for event details, maps, schedules, and sponsor logos.
Each size is available in Adobe Illustrator (.ai), Photoshop (.psd), and PDF formats. The PDF template works as a reference guide if you use Canva, Google Docs, or any other design application — just match the dimensions and safety margins shown.
Templates include labeled guides for the bleed edge, trim line, and safety margin. Keep all event information inside the safety margin and extend your background colors and images to the bleed edge for a clean, edge-to-edge print.
Tips for a Great Flyer
Use high-resolution images — 300 DPI at the size they will appear on the flyer. Photos from your phone work well if they are not cropped too tightly. Design in CMYK color mode for accurate print colors. If you design in RGB, colors may shift when converted for printing — especially bright reds, oranges, and blues.
Keep your most important information — event name, date, time, location — large and centered. People spend about two seconds deciding whether to keep or toss a flyer. Make those seconds count.
When your design is finished, export as a high-resolution PDF with fonts embedded. Upload through our ordering system and our prepress team reviews it for free. If you started with our template, your file will be production-ready. If there is an issue, we tell you exactly what to fix — no charge, no guesswork.
